How often does the Graham Center have exhibits?
We maintain a year-round schedule of varied exhibitions, presenting at least eight high-caliber exhibits annually.
What is the nature of most of your exhibits?
The GC Gallery presents a wide range of exhibitions, such as; juried student shows, alumni, visiting artists exhibitions, incoming MFA Candidates, Visual Art Scholarship recipients, as well as: themed and collaborative shows for Black History, Hispanic Awareness and Women’s month.
Are you open to the public?
Yes. The gallery is open during the Graham Center’s regular building hours. We are located in the South Wing Lounge at the entrance of the Graham Center, directly across from the bookstore. Click here to preview our current exhibit and/or upcoming shows.
Who can exhibit in the GC Art Gallery?
The Gallery accepts requests from any individual or group of artists who wish to exhibit. However, priority is given to FIU student artists, faculty and alumni wishing to exhibit in the gallery.
Who is responsible for approving requests for exhibits?
The Graham Center Art Gallery exhibitions are approved by the Art Gallery Coordinator, and must adhere to FIU’s Policies and Procedures, Student Code of Conduct and ADA codes.
How do I summit a proposal for an exhibition?
Exhibit Proposal/Requests can be submitted in writing to the GC Art Gallery office, or via email at: gcgallery@fiu.edu. To setup an appointment, please contact the GC Art Gallery Office at 305.348.7504.
Is the artwork for sale?
Artwork on display is often on sale and we can assist in contacting the artist. The Gallery also hosts auctions featuring donated artwork to benefit worthy causes.
What kind of artwork do you exhibit?
The Graham Center Art Gallery exhibits artwork from all creative mediums. We have exhibited drawings, paintings, small and large sculptures, photography, video and performance art.
What are your facilities like?
We occupy a large, attractive open viewing space where visitors can relax, mingle, study and discuss the exhibit, and art in general. We also have access to large glass display cases, an excellent medium for exhibiting smaller pieces such as jewelry, art objects, sculpture, etc.
As an artist what are my responsibilities?
